Situated on 6 acres of picturesque property, Northern Heights Resorts offers guests the best of cottage country. We have our own 250 foot safe, sandy beach furnished with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Kids certainly enjoy the slide off our break wall into the water, as well as our two playgrounds, one down by the beach and the other by the cottages. You can play a friendly game of badminton, volley ball, horse shoes, tether ball, ping pong or shoot a few baskets at the basket ball hoop. Or you can just relax with a book - our 'lending library' has numerous books and magazines.
Gather round the stone fireplace down on the beach and share a story or two with your fellow cottagers! Both the young and the not so young love to toast marshmallows, roast a hot dog, make popcorn. Or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the sparkling night skies.
Take out a canoe or kayak and watch the day awaken with an early morning paddle, the ideal time to catch sight of the loons, blue herons, ducks, otters, beavers, and other wildlife. Or enjoy the scenery with a lazy paddle boat trip along the shoreline.
Don't forget your fishing gear. Lots of 'keepers' have been caught right from our own docks and the kids will always catch something. For that early morning or after dinner fishing trip out on the lake try our ultra stable row boat.
Docking facilities are available, for a nominal charge, if you wish to bring your own boat.
Norland, Coboconk, Kinmount, Kirkfield, Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Minden, Rosedale and Lindsay are all a short car ride away. Our local towns and villages have lots to offer - all the urban amenities you need, along with plenty of small town charm and hospitality. You can shop for unique gifts, often made by local artisans, tour galleries, visit museums, browse the antique shops, watch boats going through the locks or just enjoy the breathtaking scenery. For the sports minded there are golf courses, mini-golf, bike trails and go-carts all nearby. You can take a boat cruise, attend live theater or go to the movies.
